Furniture Packs or Interior Design - Why not have both?

Choosing between buying a furniture pack or taking on an interior designer is a surprisingly common problem for many owners of properties abroad. There is a growing number of property owners that have invested in a second home or a top quality property for rental use and the initial options of how to furnish their new home can be confusing.

You could do it yourself if you enjoy the shopping and are prepared to deal with the many different tradesmen that you will require to fit the lights, hang the curtains and the glass shower/bath screens etc. The main problem is that in most cases, owners will not be in the country and will need to either fly in or make arrangements for the delivery of goods which is typically 3-4 months after the initial ordering process.

The chances of arranging all of the suppliers to turn up and deliver on time is remote to say the least. Yes you can save yourself a few pounds or euros, but when you weigh up the extra travel, the accommodation - you probably won't want to stay in an empty property - the telephone calls, the car rental and most importantly the time off work and lost wages, you will probably agree that employing the services of a professional company with an eye for the "Wow Factor" and a track record of getting things done on time and on budget makes a whole lot more sense.
