Community representation - As an absentee owner you must be kept upto date with any notifications regarding the running of the community. If owners or a representative are not present at the AGM you will lose your vote - this could lead to changes in the running of the community or its services that are not in your best interests or to your liking. Professional property management companies will represent you and ensure that you are notified of any prospective changes that are to be voted upon.

Delivery of Goods - If you are having goods delivered to your property in your absence, supervise delivery and entry and check goods before signing them off

In many cases all that is required is a box to be installed within the property.

Snagging - If you have purchased a new property it essential that it is snagged professionally as soon a possible. Arrange to snag your property, ensure that the developer signs a copy of receipt of the list and follow up to make sure that any problems, damages etc. are rectified.
